Everybody Freeze!
California Sports Center has this "Open Explorer" session on weekdays for $5 a kid.
The gym is absolute therapy (especially for my son)
when they can't get that fix in our tiny little apartment, lol.
And after the hour is up, everybody gets down to the beat.

Dreams Come True
Not too many years ago in this country,
this moment would have been inconceivable to imagine,
Incomprehensible for some to tolerate,
And prevented with various barriers of separation.
I couldn't resist quickly snapping a few shots from my vantage point.
The late Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. would have arguably cried
to see his prophesy actualized merely just a few decades after his
"I Have A Dream" speech, or at least, that's what I did
when I actually went back to reread the whole script of it.
The sting and freshness of slavery, oppression and discrimination in this country
may be diluted to an almost nil amount. (Depending on your social/economic status..)
But I don't want my children to EVER take for granted the freedoms that they enjoy in this century
without looking back and realizing the cost of it all.
These children were quietly enjoying each other's company in the sandbox
for at least 10 minutes before even noticing me standing there observing.
A video recording might have better captured the two girls taking turns "cooking"
and the two boys "digging for treasure".
