Serayah's Baby

| |
This actually started out as a baby shower gift for Ezekiel before he was born. The Puahi's gave this as a gift, and I have to say, EZ did enjoy it for a little while. It plays soft, soothing, and bubbly lullaby music while the belly lights up and glows in the dark.

But EZ's attachment to this was short-lived. He easily forgot about the thing as soon as he was out of the crib and sleeping in a toddler bed. He never held it, played with it, or even looked at it. No too long after that, SeRAYah was the newest addition to our family, and I thought to myself that it wouldn't hurt to give it a try, after a long night of trying to help a fussy baby go to sleep. So I gave it to her..

Little did I know, that this little blue sea-horse would never leave her side, and that we would have to bend over backwards to find it whenever she lost it, or fork over an extra $15 a pop to replace it! She demanded her "baby"s company for every car ride, naptime, bedtime, playtime, and every other time. It became a soothing mechanism for her and a pain in the butt for us because she could NOT go to sleep without it.

She would constantly wake up wandering through the house at night if she didn't have it. But we would go through the GAUNTLET .. every single time, to get it back whenever she lost it, because we knew that it was her best friend. And a goodnight's hug and kiss never failed to hug and kiss "baby" too..
